U.S. Canvas & Awning, a premier Houston-based awning company has an opening for a Sales Executive with talent, initiative, and drive to join their team and have a development role in their growing organization. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to assist our company teams and clients through each step of the sales process in a high-velocity environment. This includes resolving concerns or questions they may have while processing, manufacturing, and installing projects. In this role, you will sell our products and services to new and existing clients. We are a background-friendly team that believes in second chances.
Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee and review project plans, requirements, and specifications (development and execution of a sales plan)

Interpret drawings and other documentation to prepare estimates relating to time, cost, and labor.

Develop an accurate proposal based on material, equipment, and labor costs

Coordinate project documentation & logistics from design through fabrication and project installation

Assists in the designs of concepts or products to best fit clients' needs and calculates the most cost-effective and business-oriented project estimates.

Maintain client accounts and update accurate knowledge of clients' accounts and history.

Coordinate and set up appointments with clients (residential, commercial, municipal, etc.)

Review quotes and estimates with the project team

Assist in developing formal estimates outlining proposals and scope of work to clients to close the sale

Perform pre-proposal duties (on-site measurements, drawings/designs)

Answering incoming phone calls and communicating directly with new clients/leads inquiries via phone, email, etc.

Supporting all business aspects of the company including other duties as related and directed
Key Requirements / Competencies

Awning/Canopy sales experience of 5 years with current knowledge of industry trends and regulations is a must​

Advanced computer skills with data reports and design software. (Excel, CAD, hand drawings, etc.)

Ability to conceptualize and design products based on the use and application.

Demonstrated progressive outside Sales/Project Management experience preferred

Self-disciplined, self-starter, willingness to learn

Strong attention to detail and polished organizational skills

Good leadership and problem-solving skills with high level of accuracy

Excellent communication (oral/written), sales, mathematics, and customer service skills

The ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines

Experience/knowledge of a construction background is beneficial

Position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but not limited to this schedule.
